The new Daily van shows improved characteristics whithout sacrificing  its former robustness and manoeuvrability.  Thanks to the new wheelbases the range of possible payload volumes has been amplified.  The dimensions of the Daily vans have been reconsidered and show an optimal balance of the wheelbase, the total vehicle length and the length of the load area. These efforts generated new models with a payload capacity of 11m³ (best volume/floorsurface ratio) , 16 m³, 18 m³ and 20 m³ (the highest in its class).

The new Daily van also shows other advantages, such as the lowest kerb weight  in its class (from 1.750 kg for the chassis-cab version) an a load threshold that has been lowered with 55 mm to facilitate easy loading and unloading.

Thanks to its new architecture with longer wheel bases and shortened rear overhang, the new Daily van is extremely agile and is still famous for skillful driving in narrow places.

All models up to 3,5 ton have a new front suspension for higher stability and comfort and an optimized maximum permissible loading weight.  In models with single rear wheels, the new geometry of the rear axle lowers the load threshold with about 55 mm, facilitating easy loading and unloading.
